Weather
Starting in December, Taipei's weather fully enters the winter season, heavily dominated by the strong northeast monsoon. The rainfall pattern is characterized by frequent, persistent drizzles and damp cold, particularly noticeable in windward areas such as Neihu, Nangang, and Yangmingshan. The average daily high and low temperatures drop significantly to around 21°C and 15°C, respectively, with occasional cold surges pushing temperatures down to 10°C or lower. Due to the high humidity, the perceived temperature can feel much colder than the actual reading. It is highly recommended to adopt a layered clothing strategy, wearing warm inner layers, thick sweaters, and a windproof, waterproof coat, along with scarves or beanies to stay warm during chilly mornings and evenings.
